So Now What? ~ 16 March 2020

So now what? It’s more than a fair question given that Mercury now swims through the nebulous seas of Pisces. Previously I documented transits that referenced the horoscope of when COVID-19 came to conscious light. Given that chart is not an accurate portrayal of when the virus first became known in China, this post is solely through the lens of the COVID-19 pandemic as defined by current verifiable transits to which we all collectively respond.

Now onto the transits. The dates indicated below are the dates of the partile aspects between the planets noted. Keep in mind that these are felt a day or two either side of the exact date very strongly. In the case of Jupiter, perhaps even five to seven days before or after the exact aspect influence can be perceived.

19 March, Mars conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn

Initial numbers from virus testing should arrive in the United States because of delayed availability of testing. Ramped up numbers will continue to pour in from Europe and other locations where the incidences of infection have not peaked.

Proposed quarantines and restrictions will be tossed about. Expect increasing angst regarding the virus and as part of restrictions, expect purchases of vital supplies such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer will be vigorously regulated. Price gouging becomes more of a crime. The battle over unemployment and tax relief for those affected likely gets passed, and any previous suggestions likely enhanced. Furious proposals to prevent economic disarray fly about, some with merit, many without.

What to do? Create a roughly two-year personal plan. A plan that you check for success and accomplishment to align with the next Mars-Jupiter conjunction in late April 2022 in the sign of Pisces. With the Sun and Mercury in Pisces now, what a great time to dream beyond the immediate cluster flux. Dream and dream big and beyond the current mess. As your means permit, look around for discounts and sales on things you’ve been wanting but have not purchased. No hoarding!

20 March, Mars in Capricorn square Eris in Aries

Restrictions are formalized regarding all travel, limitations of social activity and more. Be prepared to hang close to home, in case you’re not already, limit activity and before venturing out in opposition to any restrictions imposed, carefully think through why you might want to confront authority in such circumstances. Is the gain worth the potential cost?

What to do? Go for a fact-based approach for information. Shun social media news and go to reliable and trusted news sources. Consider how you and every other person on this planet now shares something undeniable in common. Contemplate how all that you take for granted in terms of life-at-large will be more savored once restrictions are limited.

22 March, Mars conjunct Pluto in Capricorn

This marks the beginning of a politically volatile week. We’ve seen that political leaders and celebrities and their loved ones are not exempt from COVID-19 infection. This portends radical shifts in the political power distribution to be proposed. Threats of firings, replacements, excommunication or what have you. Isolation of key leaders should be the norm, not the exception. Should extreme mandates be imposed on the public, here resistance and defiance could be expected. The good news is that overreach can be corrected. However, it seems that if the populace resists common sense protocols, more severe restrictions will be put in place.

What to do? Stay calm. Do some serious personal centering. Get your butt on the floor or in perhaps in your yard (not a public park) sit on Mother Earth and align your energy with the big picture. Stir no pots. Fan no fires. Be a presence of calm and reason. Take time to focus on your personal creative reserves and savor all the good you have cultivated in life thus far.

26 March, Jupiter in Capricorn square Eris in Aries

For this transit, there’s not a lot to do, expect to ensure you do not pick up a pitchfork and storm the Bastille. Expect the political balance of power to be challenged. More leaders in the government of Iran may succumb to the virus. They may not be alone. Could a leader be temporarily incapacitated and her or his powers given to a member or the cabinet? Expect some upheaval and contentious proclamations of who should be removed from power and/or condemned for what was or was not done in response to the crisis.

The bottom line here is that Jupiter and Eris conspired, according to mythological lore to restore the political balance to Jupiter’s liking. As political circumstances churn during this time, ask, “What would Eris do? Is this what Jupiter wants? How is this best in the cosmic scheme of things?” You can always e-mail your opinion to those in power with no risk of contamination, realizing that all inboxes overflow presently.

28 March, Mercury conjunct Nessus in Pisces

This is an interesting little transit. Mythologically, Nessus rules bad blood, specifically poisoned blood. Is there an antidote in blood or a body fluid that seems borderline toxic? Maybe. However, some doctors at research universities have said they have positive indications of virus mitigation but drug companies are not interested because of the lack of perceived profit. We’ll see how such thinking flies in the collective and if it generates bad blood. It should be noted that some preliminary testing of antidotes commenced the day of writing this post. Might early encouragement come as March draws to a close?

31 March, Mars conjunct Saturn in Capricorn

At this point finally hard-core numbers of the impact of COVID-19 can be accumulated. The AIDS researcher, Dr. David Ho, recently presented graphs of the incidences of COVID-19 in various countries, including the drop off of cases in China and South Korea. For the first time we’ll have a clear sense of where the world is relative to the pandemic, if there is a drop-off that can be anticipated and if the results of isolation have done their best to minimize spread.

What to do? Breathe. Notice that knowledge is power. Notice that with real facts, you feel better. Enjoy that. Notice that you might be able to order toilet paper online again. Notice that soon, very soon, you’re going to need to gear up to take on the world again. Savor the sanctuary/retreat from the world for the time that remains. Focus your fortitude. Reset your agendas. Get ready. Life does exist in the post-COVID-19 world.

3 April, Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces

Largely based upon the facts available and clear, conscious information, hysteria begins to wane. Halledamnlujah! For some yet unperceivable reason, the fears of the world can subside with this aspect’s passing.

What to do? Tune back into your creativity. Take whatever remaining time exists in social exile and listen to music, watch movies, doodle on pads. Work all those fears you had in your head, worries over which you fretted into some sort of cosmic messaging. Determine how you can proclaim your realizations to the world for the benefit of soothing the collective.

4 April, Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Capricorn

The promise of rescinding collective restrictions could be at hand. Definitive statistics should be available and the hint of sunbeams through the dark clouds can be seen. Are we through it all yet? No. However, we have a clear and undeniable picture of where we are in the contamination curve. I suspect at this point some stable recovery occurs in world markets. Political leaders need to focus on lessons learned and restore or regenerate pandemic protocols. Those who botched coping with the crisis ranging from the early non disclosure in China to the U.S. position of miraculous denial will face demands of accountability.

What to do? Reset your personal objectives. Document and absorb everything positive you learned about yourself into your psyche. You know, there is a theory that those who are truly well on a spiritual level possess stronger immune systems. Whether the theory is true or not, it’s still a positive to thrive on the passion for life and your determination to make of life what you can in the most ultimate ways.

12 April, Sun conjunct Eris in Aries

I do not think this is the “all clear,” but this marks a time when restrictions on life activities are dramatically released. Some travel restrictions are relieved about now and a sense of normalcy is on the not-so-distant immediate horizon. Whew!

Two things to keep in mind here. Point one: Stay involved in the campaign to find a vaccine or antidote for COVID-19 and demand that a specific anti-virus research team be part of international cooperation. Demand that basic, common sense restrictions go into place in any breeding ground, such as unregulated markets or the illegal sale of wildlife known to carry virus- progenitor dispositions no matter where in the world they may be. Global regulations might be a good antidote to the recent calamity given the realization that we all exist on this planet.

Point two: Somehow you curtailed the way you carried on in life. New personal protocols had to be put in place. Which of those continue to apply? Can your life be simpler now? Can your life be more aligned with what suits your nature? What did you learn about who you are? How do such realizations recommit your full intent to every act taken henceforth. All this, while a bit challenging to consider, holds tremendous personal benefit and a more simplistic lifestyle going forward.

It’s going to take a while to sort this COVID-19 bastard out and get whole again... to be clear of the virus without suspecting that every sniffle or body ache is a recurrence or manifestation.

Two upside notes to conclude.

Despite the above transits, between March 27 - 28 Venus in Taurus trines Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn. Will credit card companies permit skipping a payment or two with no penalty? Might tax payments be delayed? Will temporary regulations go into effect to halt the global stock market plummet? Perhaps a pause of days instead of the brief intervals of “circuit breaker” mode? Some easing of economic tension is inferred through this trine.

Come December Jupiter and Saturn align in Aquarius. With a shudder and sigh of relief the collective can take in a sunset view of the year and declare, “We did it! We made it! And now, with renewed perspective caused by this viral global consciousness reset we are better for it!

So, what to do? Wash your hands and keep your aura clear of toxic thoughts, too!
